The top figure in the first column (St Peter's) shows the DfE recorded percentage. The lower figure shows the percentage excluding two pupils who did not sit the tests. As these pupils are on roll, they are calculated in the final average analysis even though they would have a zero score. There are good reasons why these pupils were unable to sit the national tests. The testing agency also LOST one of the three maths papers sat by a very able pupil who scored full marks on the other two papers. The DfE system is such that the pupil can only be awarded expected in spite of test scores and ability indicating it should have been at Greater Depth. This one pupil would add 2.5% on to the recorded Greater Depth score in RWM and Maths alone. |

Children sitting Key Stage 2 tests in May 2016 were the first to be taught and assessed under the new National Curriculum. This means the expected standard is higher than previously. Results are no longer reported as levels and are not comparable with results from previous years. The table below shows St Peter’s results alongside the local authority and national results.
